The team finished out its season with a 19-8 record and won the Dual Meet Section IX Championship on January 11. For the first time in Saugerties history, they qualified to compete at the Dual Meet State Championship at the SRC Arena & Events Center at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse on January 27. Three Saugerties girls also competed at the New York State Invitational on January 26. Savannah Tittelback placed sixth at 114 lbs. “It’s been a very good season,” said Varsity Wrestling Coach Scott Wickham. “I think we have a good chance of having three to four wrestlers win individual sectional titles and move on to the NYS Championships in the next few weeks as well.”
