Current NHS officers spoke about the meaning behind the organization’s four pillars—Leadership, Character, Service, and Scholarship—while lighting candles to represent each one.
The ceremony continued with the presentation of cards and pins to three seniors and 44 juniors being inducted into this distinguished group.
Following the induction, math teacher Shawn Blatter spoke to the students and guests about the importance of character and how the students' futures are wide open. He noted that these students didn’t just earn their place—they put in service hours, took on leadership roles, and upheld the values that define NHS.
Blatter closed by reminding the new members, “This isn’t the finish line, it is a milestone. These pins don’t just represent what you have achieved, but what you are capable of achieving.”
Congratulations to this year’s inductees!
