Crafting Creativity in Technology Class!
Over the past four weeks, students designed their own boxes, glued together different types of wood including pine, maple, cherry, walnut, mahogany, or even plywood, and carefully cut out their shapes. They then had the option to add wood burning designs, line the inside with felt, and lastly sanded, and polished their pieces to perfection.
While some students plan to give their handcrafted boxes as gifts, Grade 9 student Allison Gonzalez shared that she’s especially proud of her creation and plans to keep it for herself.

As prom season, the end of the school year, and summer approach, it’s a critical time to talk with teens about staying safe behind the wheel. Car accidents are one of the most common causes of injury in the spring, especially for young drivers.

The Saugerties High School End of the Year Art Show for Drawing and Painting will be held at the Saugerties Public Library. Opening reception will be held on May 15 from 6-7:30pm.
