County-Wide Presentation on Drug Addiction and Prevention for Grade 9 Students

Keynote Speaker: Tony Hoffman

The featured speaker for the event is Tony Hoffman, whose life journey serves as an inspiring testament to the power of resilience and recovery. Tony, a former BMX racer, experienced firsthand the devastating effects of drug use, leading him down a path to prison. Struggling with anxiety and depression, he misused Oxycontin and other drugs during his senior year of high school, resulting in several criminal offenses and incarceration.

However, Tony's story is one of transformation. Since his release from prison, he has tirelessly worked to turn his life around and now dedicates himself to helping young people understand the risks of drug addiction. His message is a powerful one, emphasizing the importance of awareness and the ease with which anyone can fall into addiction.
