That’s right—maple sugaring season has officially begun at Saugerties Junior/Senior High School! Over the next few weeks, students will be collecting sap and learning the science behind turning it into delicious maple syrup. Who knew our school grounds had such sweet potential?

Grade 9 students in Andrew Schauer's Design and Drawing for Production class have been hard at work learning the art of bandsaw box making. A bandsaw box is a unique wooden box crafted entirely using a bandsaw, allowing for creative, freeform shapes that traditional woodworking techniques can’t achieve.
