Saugerties Central School District Superintendent Dr. Daniel Erceg recently took a break from his daily responsibilities to visit with a group of the District’s elementary school students who meet regularly to talk about stuttering. The request came from speech pathologists Kelsa Shanley and Kathryn Mendoza who believed the students would benefit from hearing firsthand from someone in a leadership role who also experiences stuttering—someone real, not just a celebrity. Without hesitation, Dr. Erceg agreed.
Yearbooks are a wonderful way to preserve school memories, but we understand that some students may not always find many pictures of themselves in them.
Treering offers a fantastic solution—customized yearbooks! Parents and students can go online, upload personal photos, and create their own custom pages to make the yearbook uniquely theirs.
The Class of 2025 took part in a meaningful tradition this week—the Senior Walk. Saugerties High School seniors returned to their former elementary schools to walk the halls one more time, reconnect with former teachers, and reflect on their early school years.
Pre-K is open to children who will be 4 years old on or before December 1, 2025, and is available at no cost to District residents. The program is located at the Mt. Marion Learning Center, 744 Glasco Turnpike, Saugerties, and runs Monday through Friday from 8 AM. to 1 PM. Optional aftercare is available from 1 PM to 6 PM at a daily rate.
After winning 1st place in the Mid-Hudson Athletic League Doubles Tournament, Nathan Petherbridge (Junior Captain) and Veer Mrinank Mitra (Senior Captain) continued their winning momentum—earning 2nd place in the Section 9 Tournament!
